Dominic Facherty AKA Slingdad Dom
Babywearing is one of the things that has helped Dom to become the kind of dad he wanted to be but wasn’t sure how to be. He wants to share my love and encourage others to try this brilliant and natural way to care for and bond with your children.
Dom will be available to chat about sling tips for dads, and how to encourage your partner to try out slings.
2pm – 2:30pm
Hedwych Veeman AKA Wrap you in Love
Hedwych started her Facebook page 3 years ago and her YouTube channel is often recommended for her great babywearing tutorials. As a mother of three & student of multimedia-marketing she like to share her love of babywearing and to help other caregivers to find this love too!
Go along and ask Hedwych for tips on wrapping techniques and how to become a social media star.
3pm – 3:30pm
Kathleen Groves, Saltwater Rose Studio
Kathleen Groves of Saltwater Rose Studio is a photographer & weaver based in southwest London who produces handwoven wraps. Her main weaving interests are complex weaves, fine yarns, and hand-dyeing. She’ll be available to discuss handweaving and handwoven wraps, as well as weave structures, fibres, techniques, and any other questions visitors may have. She’ll also be bringing yarn samples and a variety of Saltwater Rose Studio handwoven wraps to try out for yourself!
Kathleen will also be bringing an 8 shaft Dutch table loom to Carry On London, prepared with a sample warp and all ready to go for you to have a chance to throw the shuttle and and explore a sampling of weave structures. Come give it a try!
